Ascot United’s new manager Neil Richards has unveiled his new backroom team at the Racecourse Ground.

Richards took over the helm at from Jeff Lamb and Paul McGrotty after the pair along with coach Derek Sweetman stepped down after the clubs last match – a 3-1 defeat at home to Royal Wootton Bassett  Town.

The Yellamen are just four days from their first game under new management – and the new boss has announced that the clubs development team manager Jamie Tompkins will join him as head coach of the first team.

Richards confirmed in his announcement on the ascotunited.net website that the development sides physiotherapist Alexia Sawdon will step up to the first team while coach Tommy Wilkinson will become the sides new manager – taking over from Tompkins.

United’s development side are currently fourth in the Suburban League Central Division 1 and will host Molesey in the Suburban League Cup on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Richards first game in charge see’s the Yellamen head to Chalfont Wasps in the first round of the Supplementary Cup on Saturday.
