Ascot United captain Philippa Holden puts pen to paper for 2025/26 season

Ascot United Women have confirmed captain Phillipa Holden, affectionally known as Phil, has committed to the club for the 2025/26 season.

The central midfielder will commence her third season at the club and her second as captain of the Yellas. She played a pivotal role in their charge for the Southern Region Women’s Football League Premier title and was duly awarded when they were promoted into the FAWNL which included 23 appearances for the squad.

 

With her 50th appearance coming in January against fellow title race contenders Wycombe Wanderers, the fixture ended in a 2-1 victory for Ascot.Holden made her debut on the 15th January 2023 having signed from Chichester.

Ascot United Women will compete in Division One South West of the Women’s National League for the first time in the club’s history for the 2025/26 season.
