Binfield striker Tyler D’Cruz has joined Isthmian League South Central Division One rivals Leatherhead with eight games of the season remaining.
D’Cruz joins the Tanners with an outside chance of securing a play-off place in the division. Leatherhead are five points outside the top five with it all to play for.
Binfield meanwhile are in 15th, 10 points clear of the drop zone having drawn 2-2 with Westfield in midweek.
D’Cruz has played 20 times for the Moles this season scoring nine goals, equalling his 23/24 tally.
In January 2024, while playing for Binfield, D’Cruz suffered a life-threatening injury during a game against Met Police with the Moles website reporting: “The football club is relieved to report that our player Tyler D’Cruz is now safe and comfortable in Hospital this morning after his very nasty coming together with a enclosure perimeter late in the game during our Isthmian League match with the Met Police yesterday.”
D’Cruz joined Binfield midway through the 2023/24 season from Reading City and was a key part of the clubs great escape following the appointment of manager Ross Weatherstone.
Thursday 27th March was the last opportunity for clubs to sign players for the remainder of the season, the Transfer Window slamming shut at 5pm.
