Pitching In Southern League Premier Division South Bracknell Town have strengthened their defensive options with a fresh face from Chertsey Town.

Luke Neville is the new man in at Bottom Meadow and is familiar with Bracknell boss Jon Underwood after working together at Beaconsfield Town, where Neville was captain.

The Curfews are 11th in the same division as Bracknell – who themselves are 7th – but the Curfews may well be preoccupied with an FA Trophy run that see’s them travel to Aldershot Town on Saturday.

It has been a busy day of announcements at the Robins with the biggest news arguably being the serious injuries to Anthony Cheshire – who is expected to miss the rest of the season – and Darryl Harrison.

The diagnosis on Cheshire is “a partial ACL tear and is getting further specialist review next week to determine next steps but likely to miss rest of the season.”

In better news, Underwood should be able to call on Elliott Legg, Sam Ashton and Remy Coddington before the end of the month.

Elsewhere, the club confirmed both Adam Richards and Jake Scrimshaw had departed the club. Richards joined the Robins in 2022 while Scrimshaw was a on a dual-registration with Bracknell from Vanarama National League South Weymouth.
