Dave Tarpey was one of Bracknell Town’s headline signings going into the 21/22 season. However, the former Maidenhead United striker has revealed on twitter that he won’t be heading into Step 3 with the Robins.
Tarpey scored nineteen goals in thirty games for the Robins, including a hat-trick in Bracknell Town’s 3-0 victory on the island of Guernsey. Only Seb Bowerman scored more goals for Bracknell Town this season, so manager Bobby Wilkinson will be looking for ways to replace Tarpey’s goal contribution.
While Tarpey was an important member of Bracknell’s squad, he did miss a couple of months of the season between January and early March through injury. He will be remembered fondly by many Bracknell Town fans and finished well at the club scoring three braces in three games against Chalfont St Peter, South Park and Westfield in his last three appearances for the Robins.
There is currently no news on where Dave Tarpey will play next season, but any team who signs him will be picking up a proven goalscorer with an excellent record behind him.
