Bostik League South Central Division side Bracknell Town were busy trying to get a couple of moves over the line on non league transfer deadline day and secured the services of midfielder Anton Rodgers.
Rodgers, who has played previously for Chelsea, Brighton & Hove Albion, Swindon Town, Hungerford Town and Wealdstone joins the Larges Lane side as they look to secure a play off place in the end of season shake up.
Manager Geoff Warner said of his new signing: “We felt we needed that extra bit of cover in the middle and Anton brings that experience to us.”
On confirming the news, the Bracknell Town FC social media account tweeted: “Bracknell Town are delighted to announce the deadline day signing of former Ireland under 19 international Anton Rodgers.”
Rodgers featured 19 times in the Vanarama National League South last season and played for the Crusaders against Bracknell in the Berks & Bucks Senior Cup tie that Bracknell won 2-1 at Bulpit Lane.
Anton goes in to the squad for Saturday’s fixture at Marlow.
Also on deadline day, Bracknell saw goalkeeper Chris Grace sign forms with Evo Stik Premier side Hendon.
