Hellenic League clubs don’t have long left to improve their squads for the current season with the player registration deadline looming large on Saturday 31st March 2018.
Clubs in the league and across the English Football Pyramid have until 5pm on the day to transfer and register players as non league football’s own transfer window ‘slams’ shut.
FiB’s own Steve Gabb has been busy monitoring movements over the season and it certainly seems that both Bracknell Town and Thatcham Town have prepared themselves for a busy run-in – the latter of course still in with a chance of a Wembley final in the FA Vase.
While we might have used the phrase ‘transfer window’, it’s a little different for non league clubs and similar to the old Football League transfer window, something we discussed in a bit more depth here. It’s particularly different for those clubs at the lower levels of non league football including our own Hellenic League sides where players are registered for teams in the most part on non contract basis.

Darrell has gone in to more depth on the complexities of the non league player transfer system and 7 day approach rule here, this means that there will be no new player transfers after that date and no Steve Gabb transfer updates until the summer!
