Of all the local clubs it’s Ascot United who have been busiest this week signing on nine new players as they look to rise up the Hellenic League table.
A couple of their new signings played in their 2-0 victory over Bracknell Town earlier this week with one of them, Cameron Gyeabour a dual-registration signing from Walton & Hersham, scoring two goals. Perhaps the most notable signing of the nine is former Bracknell full-back George Lock who has signed for Ascot United from Binfield.
After the exit of George Lock the Moles have also moved this week to strengthen their squad bringing in Henry Craven, Guy Hollis (likely for one game only) and Ryan Millward with Craven and Hollis both starting in Binfield’s 1-1 draw with Wantage on Monday evening.
Bracknell Town’s new manager Jeff Lamb is yet to bring in any new players to supplement his squad. However, defender Carl Garstang was signed by the club and played in the loss at Thatcham Town last weekend. He did not feature for the club in Tuesday night’s defeat at Ascot United.
