A busy couple of days at Lowther Road for Wokingham & Emmbrook manager Dan Bateman who has confirmed two exciting signings for the Sumas ahead of the Uhlsport Hellenic League Division 1 East kick off.
Bateman has confirmed the signature of former Ascot United and Bracknell Town forward Ben Knight who put pen to paper on Tuesday evening along with tricky wide midfield player Josh Lawrence who joins his brother Sam in the Sumas squad.
Those two help complete what looks like a competitive squad to compete in both Hellenic Division 1 East and the Thames Valley Premier.

Bateman spoke enthusiastically about his new forward line, saying: “Adding Ben to our squad, along with Luke and Charlie Scope gives us something we’ve been missing for a couple of seasons now, a goal scoring threat. Ben has scored goals at all the clubs he’s played at, at this level and in fact the level above too while the last time Luke played at this level, he was the leagues leading scoring with 26 goals”
Both Ben and Josh are available for the squad traveling to AFC Aldermaston on Saturday.
