At step five on the National League System non-league pyramid, the traditional summer and January transfer windows don’t apply writes Darrell Freeland.

Clubs are able to register players from 1st July right up until 31st March and this year’s final registration day was fairly quiet for local clubs aside from Binfield.

Binfield sign four

Moles manager Roger Herridge signed four players to boost his severely depleted squad as he battles injuries.

Jean Claude Etienne who plays wide left or up front and striker David Rogalski are both former Maidenhead United Youth players who were part of the Allied Counties Youth League double winning squad last season.

Also bought in is 19 year old central defender Harrison Shade who joins on duel registration from parent club Basingstoke Town.

Completing the quartet is former Mole Brad Brown with the striker re-joining from Eversley & California who he departed Binfield for earlier this season.

No additions for Bracknell Town

Bracknell Town manager Mark Tallentire did not sign anyone.

Despite losing Lee Rushe (likely to be out for the remainder of the season), Tallentire is comfortable with his squad who until yesterday’s defeat at league leaders Kidlington had gone unbeaten in ten matches to haul themselves clear of the relegation zone.

Ascot & Wokingham

We are not 100% certain but believe that both Ascot United and Wokingham & Emmbrook did not sign anyone on the final registration day.
