Isthmian League South Central Division One Binfield are into the the semi-finals of the Velocity Trophy – the Isthmian League Cup – for the first time.
The Moles beat Premier Division opposition for the second time in the competition with a 2-1 win at relegation threatened Hastings United.
Binfield lead on the South Coast through Richard Jones after 24 minutes and Rahzir Smith-Jones scored from the penalty spot a in first half injury time before Adam Lovatt pulled one back for the home side in second half injury-time.
249 watched on as the the Moles secured a place in the final four where they will face either Billericay Town (1-0 winners over Sheppey United) or the winners of Hashtag United vs Chatham Town or Leatherhead vs Hendon.
Billericay will be the toughest opponents in the dray, they lead the Premier Division (Step 3) but will have an eye on the title-race while Chatham and Hashtag would class themselves as Premier Division play-off hopefuls.
Hendon meanwhile are fighting at the opposite end of the table and are in the bottom four with Hastings and Leatherhead are the only other Step 4 side left in the competition.

Binfield return to league action on Saturday with a trip to Harrow Borough. The Moles will be without Kickie Dzimba who has transferred to neighbours Ascot United, but go in on the back of a 1-0 win over struggling Met Police – Smith-Jones again on the scoresheet on Saturday.
