The fight for survival has gone right down to the final day in the Cherry Red Records Combined Counties League Premier Division North following Wokingham & Emmbrook’s 1-1 draw with Holyport on Bank Holiday Monday.

The result means the Sumas are safe (unless there’s a 16 goal swing in Holyport’s favour) at step 5 with a game to go but means Holyport face a tense last 90 minutes of the season where they must match or better CB Hounslow United’s result at North Greenford United on Saturday 23rd April.

On Monday it was Toby Raggett who scored first for Wokingham while Ashley Hunt got the equaliser early in the second half.

The result certainly does mean Wokingham will be at step 5 for 2022/23 but Port must rely on a tough final day at second-placed Southall and even a positive outcome may still see them go down depending on points per game against the rest of the second bottom sides in at step 5.
