Six games into the 2021/22 Cherry Red Records Combined Counties League Premier Division North and Wokingham & Emmbrook are finally off the mark following a 3-1 win on Tuesday night.
The only game of the evening in the division saw the Sumas beat Tadley Calleva at Lowther Road courtesy of a Brandon Curtis double and one from Liam Eagle.
Curtis’ evening was cut short with a red card in the 70th minute and Wokingham did have to battle back after a 15th minute goal from Brad Neal but lead 2-1 at half-time courtesy of those strikes from the former Maidenhead United man.
Wokingham gave a debut to new signing Charley Tuttle in the game, the son of former Tottenham Hotspur defender David joined from AFC Aldermaston while Luke Scope also marked a return to action off the bench.
Next up for Wokingham, they face Hallen at home in the FA Vase on Saturday while Tadley host Ascot United.
