With games being postponed due to the adverse weather it was just Hungerford Town who were in action on Saturday in the Vanarama National League South.
The Crusaders headed to the Melbourne Community Stadium and faced tough opponents in high flying Chelmsford City, a team who had won seven of their previous eight games.
A Chris Whelpdale first half brace put the Clarets in command before Hungerford Town got back into the game in the 49th minute after a goal from Rhys Kavanagh.
Two late goals from Rhys Murphy and Tom Wraight saw the home side pick up the three points with a 4-1 win, a somewhat flattering scoreline.
Hungerford remain in the relegation zone on goal difference with thirteen games to go. Although results haven’t been coming of late the squad has the fight and belief required to ensure they avoid the drop.
