Hayes & Yeading may sit top of the Bostik League South Central Division One by seven points and with two games in hand, but just below them in the play off race it remains to close to call right now.

Bracknell Town sit in second having drawn 1-1 with then third placed Cheshunt on Saturday, but a 1-0 win for Marlow at home to Bedfont Sports on Saturday allowed Mark Bartley’s side to leap frog the Ambers in to the third.

A 2-1 win for Waltham Abbey at home to bottom side Egham Town wasn’t enough to ease them back in to the top five, especially after Westfield won 2-0 at home to Chipstead.

Abbey and Ashford Town (Middlesex) look at present the most likely play off contenders outside the top five with the latter winning 2-0 at FC Romania.

At the other end, a second win in a row for South Park – 3-2 at home to Hertford – saw them open a small but not insignificant gap over Molesey and Egham.

Saturday’s Bostik League South Central Division One results:

  • Bracknell Town 1 – 1 Cheshunt
  • FC Romania 0 – 2 Ashford Town (Middx)
  • Hayes & Yeading United 4 – 0 Chalfont St Peter
  • Marlow 1 – 0 Bedfont Sports
  • Molesey 0 – 5 Uxbridge
  • South Park 3 – 2 Hertford Town
  • Tooting & Mitcham United 0 – 0 Hanwell Town
  • Waltham Abbey 2 – 1 Egham Town
  • Ware 2 – 3 Northwood
  • Westfield 2 – 0 Chipstead
