Bracknell Town had to do it the hard way on Tuesday night in the Bostik League’s Velocity Trophy league cup.
1-0 down to Felixstowe & Walton United thanks to a 27th minute Jack Ainsley penalty at half time and with Mark Scott being the busier of the goalkeepers, Geoff Warner’s side levelled through Carl Davies on 57 minutes.
It looked like it might all be in vain though when full back Ryan Parson was shown a straight red card following a melee after a poor challenge from a visiting player on striker Sean Moore, who was on his full debut.
Several yellow cards were handed out but minutes later substitute Liam Ferdinand allayed any fears with a 72nd minute goal and Moore made it safe on 89 minutes.
The win puts Bracknell in to the Quarter Finals of the competition where they face a home tie against Premier Division side Folkestone Invicta.
