Binfield Ladies can feel aggrieved not to have taken anything their home tie with high flying Holyport in the the Thames Valley Counties Women’s Football League Division 2 East on Sunday afternoon.
The Moles were lever at 1-1 at the half time break after Connie Wilson had followed up Ruth Bowerman’s cross and equalised after poor defending from a corner gave the visitors the lead.
Bowerman had a great chance to put Binfield ahead as well, latching on to a through ball but was just unable to get enough on the finish.
A slow start to the second half allowed Holyport to take a 3-1 lead but more good work by Wilson earned Binfield a penalty which Michelle Melia (pictured) stepped up to take and finish.

A strong end to the second half saw Binfield push for the equaliser with Nicky Edwards having the best chance only to somehow see her effort ruled out for offside.
