Woodley United in County Cup semi finals and four goals each for Shellie Irvine and Lucy Holzman-Clarke

Good wins for Ascot United and Sandhurst Town on Sunday afternoon

Woodley United Ladies are in to the Semi Finals of the Berks & Bucks FA Women’s Senior Cup after defeating Wycombe Wanderers 3-0 at Bulmershe Pavilion on Sunday.

The Kestrels had to withstand some pressure from the visitors in the first half but Rosie Page-Smith opened the scoring after May Hamblin beat two players to find the striker in the box.

The second goal came a minute before the break when Page-Smith’s strike could only be parried as far as Natasha Master who couldn’t miss from 10 yards.

Woodley join holders Chesham United and FA Women’s Premier League sides Maidenhead United and MK Dons in the semi final draw.

Elsewhere in the County Cup, Shellie Irvine scored all four goals as Sandhurst Town beat Wantage Town 4-2 in Oxfordshire while Binfield’s trip to City Belles was postponed due to illness within the visiting side and Wargrave lost 11-0 to Milton Keynes Dons.
