Adam Cornell double earns points for Bracknell Town as Highworth make it 12 wins from 12

Bracknell score 5 again at Nomads and Shane Cooper-Clark can't dent the leaders winning run

Adam Cornell struck twice as Bracknell Town matched their goal tally from Saturday when they played the return fixture at Oxford City Nomads on Tuesday night – winning 5-1 in the Uhlsport Hellenic Premier Division.

The match was delayed by 15 minutes after the referee failed to appear but it took the Robins less than five minutes to take the lead through George Short and Cornell got his first just before the break.

Ten minutes in to the second half Carl Davies wrapped up the points with a thumping header while Joe Grant got in on the act and Cornell added a second before full time though there was time for Nomads to pull one back.

Elsewhere a match everyone would have been keeping an eye on finished 2-1 to Highworth Town making it 12 league wins in a row, but they did it the hard way coming from a goal down at Thatcham Town who’s goal was scored by former Bracknell striker Shane Cooper-Clark.

It was back down to earth for new Woodley United boss James Anderson after a great start to his managerial career, the Kestrels lost 4-0 at Wantage Town while Royal Wootton Bassett Town won 1-0 at Windsor who had veteran forward Barry Hayles sent off for a second bookable offence.

In Division 1 East leaders Virginia Water were held to a second 1-1 draw in as many games at Holyport – Ryan Curtis getting the goal for the visitors.
