Friendlies: Sandhurst Town earn Binfield win and Bracknell Town hit four

Sandhurst Town earned their fifth pre season friendly win in a row thanks to a 3-0 win over Binfield at Bottom Meadow.

The win gave Moles boss Roger Herridge a lot to think about with just under a week until the Hellenic Premier Division kicks off on Tuesday night.

Sandhurst scored twice in the first half through former Finchampstead forward Kylo Atkinson, doubled the lead before the break and scored a third in the second half – goals coming from Freddie Barron and Richard Hughes.

Bracknell Town faced Southern League opposition in Chalfont St Peter at Larges Lane and came away with a 4-2 win but a concerning injury to Khalid Senussi.

Bracknell News reporter Dave Wright tweeted: “Fingers crossed for Khalid Senussi who sustained nasty looking injury in Bracknell Town’s 4-2 win over Chalfont.”

The game itself saw the Robins new strike partnership of Adam Cornell and Liam Ferdinand start to bear fruit with a brace each – one of Ferdinand’s goals coming courtesy of a George Short deflection at the right end of the pitch.

Thames Valley Premier League side Berks County lost a 10-goal thriller at Maidenhead Magpies. Leading 4-3 with five minutes left on the clock the Swordsmen saw the hosts score three times to take the win.

Division 1 East side Wokingham & Emmbrook were beaten 6-0 at Staines Lammas.

Not a club we usually cover, but thought we’d share the winning goal from the Berks & Bucks County Senior Cup Final last night between Maidenhead United and Hungerford Town – Sam Barratt with the corner assist:
