Bracknell Town under 21s are through to the final of the Suburban League Challenge Shield after a comprehensive 8-1 thrashing of North Greenford United in the semi-finals.
United – who are bottom of the Premier Division – were simply swept aside at Larges Lane last night courtesy of goals scored by George Lock, Ben Hall (2), Will Kyeremeh, McKoy Palmer, Dan Roberts (2) and Matt Nower.
The Robins will play Metropolitan Police Reserves in the final who beat Tunbridge Well in their semi-final.
It’s a tough proposition for Liam Day’s side with Police currently second in the Premier Division and guaranteed a top three finish whilst Bracknell Town are fifth one step below in the Central Division.
The sides have met once earlier in the season in the Suburban Challenge League Cup Quarter Final. It was a very even affair eventually won on 4-3 on penalties by Met Police following a 3-3 draw.
Good luck to Bracknell in the final being played next Tuesday 2nd May at Uxbridge FC, kick-off at 7.45pm.
