Binfield’s Allied Counties Youth team made it two wins in three days as they overcame bottom side Cove 3-0 in the South Division.
The young Moles had beaten neighbours Bracknell Town 4-1 on Tuesday night – but the result on Thursday is almost immaterial compared to the long awaited return to action for Jack Rafferty who made a 12 minute cameo at the end of the game.
Jimmy Craske reports the young Moles came away with another three points thanks to a 3-0 victory with goals from Callum Brighton, Toby Illingworth and new signing Brett Gardner. The most pleasing aspect of the night was Jack Rafferty making his first appearance back in a Moles shirt since a leg break in September.
Rafferty you will remember at the time was sent a ‘get well soon’ tweet by former Watford and AC Milan striker Luther Blissett, as well as a host of messages from well-wishers.
