Straight in to the Southern Region Women’s Football League Division 1 where Ascot United have gone joint-top following a superb 4-1 win at home New Milton Town.
The Yellawomen saw a double for Amy Woollard either side of half time while Georgia Bowers and Alexandra Franken rounded things off.
United are joint top on 24 points with Oxford City Nomads and have a game in hand, though the challengers for the title lie behind them with both Barton Rovers and New Milton on 22 points but with two games in hand.

In addition, Woollard’s double took her above team mate Lucy Holzman-Clarke in the race for the division’s golden boot – Woollard now leads the way with 12 goals.
In the Thames Valley Counties Women’s League Division 2 South Bracknell Town Development were beaten 2-0 by Taplow United at Larges Lane. Ariesha Stephenson-Lewis had the Robins best chance but the star of the show was goalkeeper Jo Anderson (pictured top) who pulled off half a dozen top saves during the match.
Elsewhere Sandhurst Town’s promotion charge faltered with a 1-1 draw at home to Barton Rovers, Shellie Irvine getting the goal for the Fizzers.
