Bracknell Town FC demolish Brackley in one sided affair at Bottom Meadow

In what must be the biggest win for Bracknell Town since the ‘legendary’ 10-1 victory over Whyteleafe in 2003, the Robins beat Brackley Town Saints 9-0 at Bottom Meadow in the Uhlsport Hellenic Premier League on Tuesday night.

For Bracknell fans more used to conceding that kind of scoreline in the relatively recent past it will have been a theraputic occasion, less so for the Brackley players and supporters who had no answer.

It was a game – even without new signing Justin Clayton – that featured two own goals, a hat-trick and the remarkable site of Adam Cornell NOT getting his name in lights.

Cornell could have had a hat-trick on the night, but Khalid Senussi and TJ Bohane got things going in the first half heading into the break at 2-0.

The second period saw Bohane net on the hour, and then the flood gates opened with Callum Whitty, Senussi again, and own goal, Bohane, Joe Grant and a final own goal sealing a terrific win for Bracknell that see’s them leapfrog up to fifth in the Premier Division.

Did you go to the game? How good were Bracknell and can they win the league? Let us know in the comments below.
