Binfield Development team picked up a worthy point in Kent on Saturday afternoon when they drew 2-2 with fourth placed Tonbridge Angels in the Suburban Football League Premier Division.

The Moles looked dead and buried at 2-0 but an 88th minute goal from Josh Smith sparked a revival and Matt Davis got the all important equaliser in injury time.

Forward Charlie Craske posted on twitter after the game: “Always better when we score in the 88th minute and injury time”.

The result wasn’t enough to get Binfield off the foot of the Suburban Premier League table but the Moles have a chance to get a confidence boosting run together when they face lower division Ascot United at home in the League Cup on Monday night before a tough visit from Corinthian Casuals.

In the Central Division, it looks like Bracknell Town’s title to lose already – they remain top after four games with a 100% record and have played three fewer games than second placed Westfield.

The Robins visit Ascot United on (tonight) Tuesday looking to extend that record.
