Friday night FA Vase tie for Bracknell Town FC

Bracknell Town begin their 2016/17 FA Vase campaign with a rare Friday night outing at Hook Norton in the First Qualifying Round.

The game is being played on Friday night due to the dual use of the pitch in the Oxfordshire village with the local cricket team, although there is a full programme on Saturday in the competition.

Division 1 West leaders ‘Hooky’ have lost just one of their six league ties this season and sit atop the division by three points from Fairford Town.

Bracknell have been impressive in recent weeks with victories over Thatcham Town and Ascot United, while they swept aside Burnham last weekend in the league cup with relative ease.

Incidentally, Norton could have been playing Premier Division football this season had a plan to see them swap with Cheltenham Saracens gone ahead, but they elected to stay and challenge again after a third placed finish last season.
