Bracknell Town finally got their season underway on Saturday with a 1-0 win against Waltham Abbey at Larges Lane.
Liam Ferdinand got the Robins first goal at step 4 since 2010 and Bracknell manager Carl Davies was full of praise for the clubs supporters.
Speaking to the Bracknell News’ Dave Wright, Davies said: “They [the supporters] were tremendous, they were really loud.
“When the goal went in, there was a lot of noise from the fans; what a feeling that was. Their support is massive to us and long may it continue.”
There’s a full interview with Davies on the back of the News this week which is available in all good newsagents. Neil Graham’s full gallery from the match is here.
The Robins head to Molesey on Saturday before FC Romania head to Larges Lane on Monday 27th August.
