10 goal Bracknell Town ease into Reading Senior Cup semi final

In the end it was all to easy for Bracknell Town who made the last four of the Reading Senior Cup for the first time since 2014 with a 10-0 win over Thames Valley Premier Division side Mortimer at Larges Lane.

It was ‘only’ 2-0 at half time to the home side thanks to an opener from Ian Davies and follow up strike from Adam Cornell but both Khalid Senussi and Carl Withers got themselves on the scoresheet in the second half..

Manager Mark Tallentire gave starts to centre back Alex Rodrigues and Callum Whitty while Dave Hancock captained the side in the absence of Carl Davies who was on the bench along with top scorer TJ Bohane and Seb Bowerman – a wise move with five games of the Hellenic Premier Division title race remaining.

It was more one-way traffic in the second half though with Kensley Maloney and Bohane joining the fray.

Bohane hit a hat-trick and there were further goals for Cornell and Davies while Bowerman hit the Robins seventh to dump Mortimer out of the cup and setup a semi final with either Wokingham & Emmbrook or holders Henley Town.

Here’s the full Reading Senior Cup semi-final draw.
