“Nothing less than they deserve” says Finchampstead boss ahead of County Cup semi-final

Finch face Windsor & Eton in the semi-final

Finchampstead Ladies are flying high in Division One of the Thames Valley Counties Women’s Football League as they sit second having lost just one game but they’re also on the hunt for some cup silverware this season.

Berkshire are guaranteed a team in the Trophy final this season as Finch welcome Windsor & Eton to a semi-final to be played at Edgbarrow School (the joys of weather amendments in the winter) on Sunday 15th of February.

Manager, Nick Cooper, acknowledged it won’t be an easy game as they face equally high-flying Division Two North side Windsor & Eton, “We are very much looking forward to our county cup semi final but will take nothing for granted as Windsor & Eton are having a great season.”

But he’s confident that the determination of the team will see them into the County Cup final, “We will have to play at our best to make it through to the final but this will be nothing less than the ladies deserve given their commitment, team spirit and attitude they have shown week in week out.”

Best of luck to both Finchampstead and Windsor & Eton.
