Friday night football under the lights at the Select Car Leasing Stadium in Reading is a tantalising prospect as Westwood Wanderers and Wargrave go head-to-head in the Berkshire Trophy Centre Senior Cup Final.
For Westwood it is the chance of a treble having already won the Thames Valley Premier League and Berks & Bucks County FA Cup, while for Wargrave it’s a shot at silverware after a mid-table finish.
Wargrave beat Holyport Reserves resoundingly in the semi-final at the Rivermoor – a 4-0 win with goals from Ross Gordon, Edward Thomas and a Sam Wild brace while Westwood edged past Woodcote on penalties after a 2-2 draw in normal time.
Westwood won the league title by 11 points from Maidenhead Town, making it two titles in a row in what is already a historic season for the Tilehurst side.
Last season it was Burghfield who did the cup double with County and Senior Trophy titles – this time Westwood could go one better and make it a treble.
Kick-off at the Select Car Leasing Stadium (home of Reading FC) is listed as 7pm on the Full Time website and will take place on Friday 16th May 2025.
