Ethan Stacey is up for a Berkshire Football Award in the category of Referee of the Season sponsored by Fox Beer House (Caversham).
According to the Reading Refs website, where Ethan is Secretary, he has been a level four referee since the 23/24 season meaning he can take charge of games at Step 5 and 6 level – locally the Combined Counties League.
He spent three years officiating grassroots football on Saturdays, Sundays, and in Youth leagues. In addition to his role as Secretary of Reading RA, Ethan is the Appointments Secretary for the Thames Valley Step 7 Men’s Open Age League.
One nomination for the award said: “Ethan is constantly trying to improve and become a better referee and his hard work has paid off over the years as he is now reffing at a higher level and producing good displays.”
Another simply added: “A dedicated referee who runs the game fair and smoothly.”
