Cathy Corr is up for a Berkshire Football Award in the category of Manager of the Season (Women’s Game) sponsored by Massage Movements.
The first boss of Windsor & Eton’s women’s team which won the Thames Valley Counties Women’s Football League Division Three South, Cathy has a background in Gaelic Football in Ireland but has created a winning football team at Stag Meadow.
The nomination we received for the award said: “Cathy is the outstanding leader of the Windsor & Eton Women’s team, which won the league title in a very competitive Thames Valley Counties Women’s Football League Division 3 South,
“Cathy’s overall Season Record in all competitions reads 19 wins, 2 draw and just 5 defeats – an impressive win rate of 73%!
“It seems inconceivable Cathy was able to put together a first ever Windsor & Eton women’s team literally from scratch and then take them forwards to win the league in their FIRST season. Achieving all of this in not much more than 12 months or so.
“Cathy skilfully leads a brilliant management team that includes Adam, Jimmy and Lyndsey, which is far more powerful than the sum of its parts. Cathy is warm, friendly, intelligent and very respectful to all. She is another key factor in the overall club culture at Windsor & Eton FC that has spawned so much success in 24/25.
“We hope she stays with us for a very long time!”
