Jack Penton is up for a Berkshire Football Award in the category of Young Player of the Season (Male) sponsored by Procision Football Academy.
A former Bracknell Town and Sandhurst Town player, Penton made 44 appearances so far this season for Hartley Wintney and is the top appearance maker for the Row this season.
The nomination we received for the award said: “An aspiring young talent currently applying his trade at Step 4 with Hartley Wintney. Jack (or JP as he’s more commonly known) is a wise head on young shoulders.
“Having spent most of his early football career with Bracknell Town and forming part of the match day squad in the FA Cup First Round vs Ipswich Town, and also gaining limited experience at Step 3, he then went to broaden his knowledge and gain further and regular experience with Burnham FC for two seasons at Step 5, and now with Hartley Wintney where he’s currently amassed 44 starts this seasons.
“JP has come through the ranks from youth football, representing the county on many occasions, Allied Counties, Surrey Youth, and now playing regular men’s football to a very high standard.”
