The men’s Berks & Bucks County FA Senior Cup is in in it’s ‘intrigue era’ with some tantalising match ups to come in November’s Third Round.
That comes after Windsor & Eton made it 18 wins in a row and made the Team of the Month award a bit of a foregone conclusion after winning 4-0 away at Combined Counties League Premier Division North Wallingford & Crowmarsh.
The Royalists have tougher opponents to come with Southern League Central Division One Aylesbury United in the Third Round – two divisions higher than the Combined Counties League Division One leaders.
In terms of intrigue then, a Slough Town will renew acquaintances with former Vanarama National League South rivals Hungerford Town – the Crusaders with a decent home record against the Rebels – while Bracknell Town will make the short trip to Holyport where two former Sandhurst Town managers will face off in Jon Underwood and Adam Hopkins.
Elsewhere Berks County have been drawn at home to Thatcham Town and Binfield have the toughest task of all as they welcome Maidenhead United to Hill Farm Lane having met previously in the competition in 2019 – Maidenhead were 4-0 victors on the night.
