The best laid pre-season plans can often go awry as many a non-league manager will tell you, from friendlies cancelled at late notice to holidays, and it’s no different if your organising a touring side.
That appears to be what has happened to a Munster FA side travelling from Ireland to Reading on Thursday (15th) – so we thought we’d see if we could help.
Barry Cotter – Administrator for the Munster Football Association writes: “We are travelling to Reading next week Thursday 15th – Sunday 18th August. We have games organised for both Thursday and Friday. We were due to do a training session in Reading FC’s training ground on Saturday morning but due to academy games and training it’s now unavailable. We are looking for somewhere in the Reading area to train for two hrs 10.00-12.00am, could anyone facilitate us?
“On Sunday morning we were due to play a fixture but that has fallen through. Would any non-league teams, be free to play us? Failing that we would train again for two hrs 11.30-1.30 and again a training ground is needed.”
