The East Berkshire League have confirmed the constitutions of their two Saturday divisions. Included among the clubs are familiar faces as well as a few clubs starting out on their Saturday football journey.
In the Premier Division champions Old Windsor are back alongside East Berks stalwarts Pundit and Stoke Poges while FC Beaconsfield have joined from the Hellenic League. AFC Reading will enter the Division having secured a spot in the Slough Town Junior Cup in the 2023/24 season. Sadly, Singh Sabha Slough have withdrawn their Saturday team after the tragic passing of Zufran Asghar (recipient of the Berkshire Football Awards 2024 Darrell Freehand Award).
In Division One, the division has grown beyond its traditional Slough roots with the addition of Bracknell clubs FC Bracknell and Bracknell Aces. This signals the welcome return of Saturday football to the town of Bracknell after Bracknell Town’s departure to Sandhurst from Larges Lane.
Caversham United are also making their debut in men’s Saturday football as an East Berks Division One club. The Division One season kicks off on Saturday 17th August with the Premier Division starting on Saturday 31st August.
