Former Maidenhead United and Hungerford Town striker Danilo Orsi has written himself into the EFL history books at Wembley as he opened the scoring for Crawley Town in their bid for League One after nine years of plying their trade in the fourth division of the English pyramid.

The number nine netted 9 goals in 31 appearances for The Crusaders during the 2018/19 season of the National League South before he made the switch to Hampton & Richmond Borough the following season. However it wasn’t long before he was back in Berkshire as he signed on the line for Maidenhead United in the summer of 2020, making 39 appearances and scoring 19 goals for the Magpies.
Orsi’s strike with the outside of his right foot was his 25th goal of the season for The Red Devils and confirmed a 2-0 victory over Crewe Alexandra.

The second goal sealed the deal fives minute from the ninety when former Reading FC star, Liam Kelly coolly slotted his strike past the out of position keeper, Max Stryjek. Crawley will join the Royals in League One for the 2024/25 season.
