They might have suffered relegation at the end of 2022/23 but Frilsham & Yattendon are enjoying a new kit and 100% record in the North Berks League Division Two.
The side finished with one point at the end of last season but under Cameron Philbey this season, they are five wins from five in Division Two and making a decent fist of a rebuild.
Plus thanks to long serving clubman and Serious Sport’s Damian Scurr, the team don’t look so bad on and off the pitch either.
You might notice the giant Football in Berkshire logo as well. As part of our partnership with Serious Sport where we are aiming to help clubs in Berkshire get the kits they want and as we say ‘Get Wembley Smart’, we agreed to become the sponsor of the team in exchange for some Frilsham and North Berks League column inches.
This is the first of what will be a regular bit about the competition this season.
Frilsham are currently second in Division Two, a point behind Letcombe Reserves who have played a game more – but it was Frilsham who won a 10 goal tie at home to Letcombe on Saturday winning 7-3.
In Division One – the top tier of the league – Berinsfield lead the way with 13 points from six games followed by Abingdon United Development and Compton. Woodcote look potential challengers as well but have games to make up having only played three league fixtures.
