Binfield’s Kai Hobbs is up for a Berkshire Football Award in the category of Young Player of the Season (Male) sponsored by Taurus Carpentry Ltd.
The youngster was the Moles top appearance maker this season turning out in red 44 times as Binfield narrowly missed out on the Isthmian League play-offs.
One nomination for the award said: “Despite this being Kai’s first full year in senior football, he is wise beyond his years. He is small in stature but one of the best headers of the ball. He is a great defender and starts moves by bringing the ball out from the back. He finished the season with the most league appearances for Binfield.”
Another added: “Excellent season at right-back still only being 18/19 years old plays like he’s had many seasons in men’s football and has saved Binfield on many occasions this season.”
