Mollie Haines is up for a Berkshire Football Award in the category of Manager of the Season sponsored by Eddie Stobart Logistics.
As well as playing 14 times for Woodley United in their title-winning Southern Regions Women’s Football League Division One North side, Haines it would seem has also turned her hand to management at her school.
One nomination for the award said: “Mollie has managed the u12 to u16 girls football teams at The Piggott School. This year she has managed over 40 fixtures, taken 2 age groups to the last 16 of the English Schools Cup (out of over 200 schools across England), undefeated in the East Berkshire League for u13 & u15, represented Reading FC in the u13 Utilita Schools Cup, winning the Berkshire Schools Festival with u13 & u15 and finally winning u14 & u15 County Cup. She still has the u13 and u16 girls in the County Cup competition. An amazing season and driven by Mollie. Her commitment, dedication and passion for women’s football is second to none. She has made The Piggott School a force to be reckoned with, not only in Berkshire but in national competitions as well. rnA fully deserved winner of this award.”
