Eversley & California’s Jade Dobson is up for a Berkshire Football Award in the category of Volunteer of the Season sponsored by Shorts Group.
One nomination for the award said: “I’d also like to vote for Jade Dobson for Volunteer of the Year award. Jade is only 28 and has worked tirelessly this season after we lost Sarah Pyne and her family from the club and our chairman Martin Elcox. She has taken on the role as treasurer and interim chairman and literally kept the club afloat by making sure she runs our pitch side cafe during all of the games and then rushes to the clubhouse to do after game hospitality. The work she has had to take on is more than that of a full-time employee and without her in January the club would have had to fold.”
