What you might have missed from the weekend as Holyport continue to confound, but so do CB Hounslow, James Beauchamp continues his excellent goalscoring form for Binfield and Tyler Goodrham has a good laugh at a Joe Ellul.
Holyport pull off terrific win but CB Hounslow continue to frustrate
Damn you CB Hounslow! Just as Holyport were celebrating a superb 3-0 win over Ascot United in the battle to avoid the basement place in the Combined Counties League Premier Division North, the news will have filtered through that CB Hounslow United, a point ahead of Port, had also picked up three points at home to Burnham.
Port defied league placing to beat Ascot who are chasing down a play-off spot at the top end of the table with a goal from former Yellaman Usman Lalustani and a double from Steven Deverall, but the news from West London means that the race to avoid 18th and relegation is still on with six games to go.
In case you missed it, our podcast with Holyport secretary Richard Tyrell is right here!
The Berks & Bucks County FA Cup Finals
Berkshire had representation in two County Cup finals at the weekend, both played over the border at Beaconsfield Town FC.

Newbury Sunday League side Paggies took on Reading & District Sunday League FC Bapco and suffered a heavy 11-2 defeat while Caversham United Women were beaten 3-0 by Penn & Tylers Green Ladies.

Ascot United appoint new Director
Simon Negus, the Berkshire sides chairman made a new Directoral appointment this week with long-serving Donna Graham joining the clubs board.
In a statement on the club website, Negus said: “I am delighted to announce that Donna Graham has been appointed as a Director of Ascot Utd with immediate effect. Donna has been involved with the Girls section as a coach for many years, and is passionate about getting more girls involved in football… she will bring a new perspective to the Board as we continue to grow the club on and off the pitch. Welcome Donna, and thank you for agreeing to accept this position.”
Beuchamp continues fine Binfield goalscoring form
He’s literally got Champ in his name. New Binfield signing James Beauchamp made it four goals in three games for Binfield on Saturday as the Moles beat Thatcham Town 1-0 in the Isthmian League Berkshire derby.
Beauchamp, who joined from Hartley Wintney at the start of the month, scored on his debut against Staines Town, scored twice in the 3-1 win at Hanwell Town and now has a fourth at Thatcham.
Binfield have two more away games before finally returning home after an away day run reminiscent of last season’s FA Vase heroics – albeit minus the penalty shootout drama.
Slough Town vs Maidstone United
Just wanted to leave this here.
Great photo from @simongoods1 this sums up the giant Maidstone number 4 who spent more time rolling around on the floor than standing. Like when Tyler supposedly floored him. Do you have a caption for this photo (keep the language sensible). pic.twitter.com/ceUfVUK5ps

Slough won the game 2-1 thanks to some brilliant goals which you can watch here. The number four in question in the tweet appears to be former Maidenhead United centre-back Joe Ellul.
And finally..
We might not be heading to Wembley this season, but up the road in Buckinghamshire, Newport Pagnell Town are just 90 minutes from Wembley after they were drawn at home to Hamworthy United in the semi-final of the Buildbase FA Vase.
The very best of luck to a fellow Berks & Bucks FA side!
