Reading FC Women striker Natasha Dowie and boss Kelly Chambers have been nominated for the FA WSL Manager and Player of the Month awards.
Undoubtedly a tough start to the season for the Royals who lost the opening four games of the WSL season before beating Aston Villa on the 10th October and then going on to three wins and a draw in November across the WSL and Continental Cup.
Chambers, who oversaw an uplift in Royals performances in recent weeks, is up against Chelsea’s Emma Hayes and Arsenal’s Jonas Eidevall for the award which is due to be announced on Thursday at midday.
Dowie meanwhile is up for the Player of the Month award after two goals in three games in November and is against Lauren Hemp (Manchester City), Kim Little (Arsenal), Ria Percival (Tottenham Hotspur) and Jessie Fleming (Chelsea), while Reading-born Chelsea forward is up for the Goal of the Month Award.
