With the Women’s Super League officially over a whole month ago, many players have been embracing the down time. However, as the Olympics fast approaches many are back to international duties. Though none of the Reading squad are expected to feature at Toyko, now is the chance for many of them to play in friendlies with their home countries which includes six Royals for three European teams.
Royals captains Tash Harding as well as Rachel Rowe, Lily Woodham and Bethan Roberts all receive call ups for Wales in a friendly with Scotland on Tuesday 15 June. Recent Reading departures Fishlock and James also feature in the squad.
Grace Moloney is on course to pick up her 5th and 6th international cap for the Republic of Ireland as they play two friendlies against Iceland, one on Friday 11 June (6pm KO available to watch on RTE Player), whilst the the second fixture is set for Tuesday 15 June (6pm KO available to watch on RTE Player).
Amalie Eikeland is set to secure her 13th international cap for Norway as face Sweden on Thursday 10 June, and five days later on Tuesday 15 June go up against the Netherlands. She will reunite with former Reading player Lisa-Marie Utland who now plays for Rosenborg.
