The eagerly anticipated first visit of Jersey Bulls to Eversley & California is off on Friday night after flights off the Channel Island were cancelled.
According to the Jersey Evening Post, 70 mph winds are hitting the island and a months worth of rain is due to fall in three days meaning flight’s and ferries have been cancelled.
The Bulls had been due to travel to the Berkshire/Hampshire border on Friday night for a Cherry Red Records Combined Counties League Division One tie at Fox Lane.
The Boars have issued a statement regarding the fixture and pre-purchased tickets: “Important! Unfortunately tonight’s game at home against Jersey Bulls as been cancelled due to flight cancellations off the island.
“All match tickets will be held for the rearranged date, if you would rather a refund then please contact: secretary@eversleycaliforniafc.net
“We apologise for the inconvenience caused but it’s matters completely out of our hands. We’re massively gutted ourselves!”
There’s still plenty of non-league action due over the weekend across Berkshire, a full fixture list is here.
