Double joy for Wokingham & Emmbrook women's teams

Two of Wokingham & Emmbrook’s women’s teams enjoyed double Berks & Bucks County FA Cup success at the weekend.

The Sumas ladies first team are in the semi finals of the Junior Cup after beating Wallingford Town 7-1 thanks to a Caroline Paterson hat trick, two from Ariesha Stephenson-Lewis and one each from Joanne Atkins and Amy Martin.

They will play either Caversham AFC, Wycombe Wanderers Development or the winners of Long Crendon vs City Belles in the semi finals.

Also making the last four, the clubs under 16s beat Chesham United 4-2 on Sunday in a game moved to Emmbrook School’s 3G pitch having beaten Maidenhead Boys & Girls 8-0 in the previous round.

The under 16s will face either Milton Keynes City Emeralds who beat Harwell and Hendred Youth 3-1 on penalties or the winners of AFT Reading U16 Diamonds vs Wargrave Women & Girls or City Belles vs Sandhurst Town Boys & Girls Rockets in the semi finals.
