Bracknell Town supporters undoubtedly let out a collective sigh of relief on Wednesday evening as the club revealed Seb Bowerman had elected to remain at Larges Lane for the 2019/20 season.
Bowerman has been a key player for the Robins since joining during the 2015/16 season and despite a long injury absence last season, still managed to play 35 times and score 10 goals.
Last season, the winger turned down an opportunity to join eventual Bostik League Premier Division champions Dorking Wanderers – the side that new teammate Rob Sheridan has just arrived from.
Speaking to Football in Bracknell, Robins boss Sam Lock was delighted to be able to keep hold of the flying winger.
He said: “Amazing to be able to keep Seb. He’s a player I have known since the Allied Counties Youth League days.
“He’s turned down a lot of offers from the leagues above and has brought into what I am trying to create at Bracknell.”
With Bowerman returning to Bracknell Town next season, Lock now has four members of last season Bostik League South Central Division One side signed up. Harrison Bayley was the first to confirm while Joe Gater and Kensley Maloney will also relain.
