Bracknell Town are at full strength for the eagerly awaited tie against Bostik League South Central Division One play off rivals Marlow at the weekend says manager Geoff Warner.

The Robins boss has seen goalkeeper Chris Grace sign for Hendon this week and Anton Rodgers come in to the Larges Lane squad, but Warner goes in to the tie with no injury concerns.

Reflecting on the 1-0 defeat to Hayes & Yeading last weekend that included a controversial penalty award to the home side, Warner said: “The penalty was ridiculous. It was a head injury. The ref’s reaction should have been for the safety of the player.

“It wasn’t deliberate, but the lad has raked Mark Scott’s thigh and the follow through hit his head. It should never have got as far as a penalty.”

Warner added though that his side should have been clear by that point. He said: “We only have ourselves to blame as we had four or five chances and should have been 2-0 up in the first half.”

Manager Roger Herridge is without defender Jeff Brown and striker Eddie Lee for the trip to Tuffley Rovers on Saturday while he said fellow forward Stephen Peacock was also missing.

The Moles boss will continue with goalkeeper Lee Wyatt who is fit after being substituted after 70 minutes of the win at Fairford Town last weekend.

Mick Woodham says he is running a ‘no excuse’ culture for the remainder of the Royalists fixtures which includes the Bluefin Sport Hellenic League Challenge Cup Final against Ascot United.

Woodham said: “We have everyone fit and available this weekend at home to Lydney Town. I am happy with the group so there won’t be any late signings before Sunday’s deadline though one or two of the under 18s may feature in the run in.”

Football in Bracknell understands that top scorer Dan Roberts will be available for Windsor this weekend.

Slough Town

Rebels joint-boss Jon Underwood said his side had not made any signings before Thursday’s deadline. Slough host St Albans City on Saturday.

Derek Sweetman has a bit of an injury crisis ahead of his sides trip to Woodley United.

The Port boss said: “We have eight players missing with injuries for Saturday, Alan Ackerman being the last one to fail a fitness test last night.

“We are trying to bring in a few players before the deadline. Talking to three as we speak!”.
