Bracknell Town goalkeeper wins Bostik League award

Bracknell Town goalkeeper Mark Scott has won the Bostik League’s September goalkeeper of the month award after conceding just two goals.

Scott will share the Division 1 South Central award with Marlow number 1 Simon Grant which is sponsored by Samba Sports, the UK’s leading manufacturer of goals.

It’s a thoroughly deserved award for Scott who has been a big part of one of the meanest defences in the Bostik League, conceding just three goals in the division as Bracknell remain unbeaten in the opening seven league matches.

Scott has battled back from a broken neck sustained while playing for Slough Town in March 2017 against Basingstoke Town. Dave Wright, writing for the Bracknell News said at the time: “The 27-year-old former Swindon Town stopper has shown great determination and courage to battle back to fitness.”

According to the Bostik League website, which has the full winners for each division, Scott will receive a pair of Samba goalkeeper gloves.
