The Berks & Bucks County FA have released the draw for the first round of the 2018/19 Senior Cup.
The draw was made at midday on Friday at the County’s headquarters in Abingdon and see’s an initial first round draw with the majority of clubs joining the second round.
For the first time in decades, Reading FC will be in the competition after confirming their involvement and they will join the likes of Maidenhead United, Slough Town and MK Dons in the second round.
A revamped Senior Cup was a big success locally last season with the likes of Bracknell Town facing higher opposition in Slough and Hungerford Town.
Berks & Bucks County FA Senior Cup First Round draw:
- Abingdon United vs Windsor (25th Sept)
- Ascot United vs Thatcham Town (TBC)
- Aylesbury 1-4 Bracknell Town (18th Sept)
- Aylesbury United vs Newport Pagnell Town (26th Sept)
- Marlow vs Didcot Town (TBC)
- Reading City vs Flackwell Heath (24th Sept)
- Wantage Town vs Binfield (25th Sept)
Byes for Beaconsfield Town, Holmer Green, Shrivenham, Chalfont St Peter, Hungerford Town, Slough Town, Maidenhead United, MK Dons and Reading.
Last season Chesham United lifted the trophy, first competed for in 1879 after beating MK Dons 4-3 on penalites. The best performance by a side closest to Football in Bracknell was Woodley United who reached the semi finals before losing to Chesham.
Bracknell were beaten 3-2 in the Quarter Finals by Slough at a packed Larges Lane while Binfield lost in the first round to Flackwell Heath 5-0. Keep up with all the County Cup news by following the Berks & Bucks on twitter.
